Besides being a Certified Dog Trainer recognized nationally by
the Animal Behavior College, David is employed full-time as a
Marriage and Family Therapist and is a Licensed Associate
Counselor recognized by the Arkansas Board of Examiners in
Counseling.  David received his Master of Science in Marriage
and Family Therapy in 2002 and has been practicing ever
since.  He is now  working on a Ph.D. in Counseling Studies
and currently is writing his dissertation, which he plans to
finish in 2008.

David, his wife of over 13 years, Katy, and their three
year-old son, Gabriel, live in Searcy, Arkansas.  They are
active members of their church, and they very much enjoy
being a family.  Katy is a very beautiful and versatile young
woman, dividing her time between the full-time responsibilities
of being a mother and  working part-time as a choral director
and being an advocate for music education.  Gabriel is the
most wonderful and brilliant child that walks this Earth, no
doubt about it :)

David has logged over 1900 hours of counseling and regularly
uses analogies from his dog training experiences to parallel
concepts in his marriage and family therapy work.  In
working with "human" clients, David works from a systemic
point of view, recognizing combinations of causes that might
be producing problems for his clients.  David recognizes that
these systemic issues also have a very direct effect on a
person's relationship with their dog.  This ability to see
relational conditions from a broad, objective point of view
often enables David to meet the needs of pet owners on a
more extensive level than by dog trainers who do not have this
experience.

David is very passionate about working dogs and about
educating their owners regarding what dogs need to be happy,
healthy, and balanced.  He looks forward to all opportunities
involving working with dogs and their owners and he hopes
that he will get to work with you and your dog very soon.
